Our Story...

Sylvan fables was born from the minds of a fantasy lover and a mythology enthusiast, who desired to adorn their bookshelves with beautiful editions of their favourite books.

The opportunity to share this desire with others is what drives us here at Sylvan Fables. We look forward to growing our titles as well as our own collection of exclusive Sylvan Editions.

Although we do not have a physical bookshop (yet!), it is a long term dream of ours, despite this we will not be entirely online. You will be able to find us at fairs and markets so keep your eyes peeled on our events page.

Reading has always been a big part of my life ever since school. After initially struggling with reading, my world changed forever when I started reading fantasy. Since then fantasy has always been my genre of choice where I can live a thousand different magical lives from the comfort of my own home. When I am not reading I enjoy writing, dancing, or starting new hobbies which I get invested in way to quickly.

Oliver - Co-founder & Partner

As a gamer first, my love for mythology developed as an adult. When getting lost in the Nioh series, I developed an emerging interest in Japanese mythology especially Yokai. This led me to delve deeper into reading mythology from classic Greek tales to the Egyptian Pantheon. When I'm not reading I enjoy gaming, collecting/studying insects and long walks.

Korra and Azula - Our favourite distractions

With names based on one of the our favourite universes - Avatar: The Last Airbender. They are the hardest working members of the team, ensuring that we don't forget the most important task - ensuring they have lots of cuddles.
